FrSIRT announces the availability of the FrSIRT Exploits and PoCs Service. This new security offer is designed to deliver exploit and proof-of-concept codes created in-house by FrSIRT, enabling security vendors to quickly develop signatures and proactively detect and protect against potential or real threats. It also enables security professionnals to perform regular penetration and security testings using safe exploits.
Adobe released a security update for Reader, Acrobat Professional, Acrobat 3D, and Acrobat Standard 8.x to address multiple vulnerabilities. Fixed flaws are caused by buffer overflow and memory corruption errors when processing data within a PDF file, and could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malicious PDF file. A public exploits is already available for the "util.printf()" stack overflow.
