Before Installing: Quit all applications that are running because they might interfere with installation. Easy way: Log out/in with Shift key down.
Some users have found the need to apply the Apple combo updater to fix problems after MS updates as well as Apple updates.
Updates do not include an uninstall feature. To restore your application to its original state, delete it from your hard disk, reinstall Office from your original installation disk, and then install ALL updates. Tip: Archive (zip) your Office folder prior to updating so you can easily revert to the archive copy if needed.
The true test of any update is the Microsoft Component Plugin. It is always updated. Microsoft does not update each application every time an update is released. See “Confused over Microsoft Update Version numbers?“

The Microsoft Office 2008 Update 12.1.3 must be installed on the computer before you install the Office 2008 for Mac 12.1.4 Update. Be sure to quit all running applications first before updating. download.

This update includes all of the improvements released in all previous Office v. X updates. Download. Entourage X has reached the end of it's lifecycle. Support for Entourage X ended January 9, 2007. There will be no further updates for Office X.
