Over 800 new viruses are detected each month by virus experts around the world. Out of this 800 viruses only a few make the headlines due to the amount of damage they cause.
Out of the 800 viruses detected every month, only a few make the headlines, like the MyDoom and the NetSky virus/worm, because of the amount of damage they cause to computers worldwide. Virus companies around the world are a key to our daily computer health and we rarely give them the credit they deserve. We stop viruses for our customers daily, however, customers do get infected in the period of time between when a new strain is detected until the cure is found. Customers then want to blame someone. Virus detection and cleaning is very much like seeing a doctor. Doctors recommend that you eat healthy, take vitaimins, wash your hands often, and avoid people who are sick. Without the security companies providing anti-virus filtering and cures, the Internet would be crippled within one day. So be informed and be careful of received e-mails and what web sites you visit. |
